There is something magical about autumn, its richness and the way it makes everything feel a little more grounded and alive. A shoot set completely within nature’s rhythm seemed like the only proper celebration of the season.
Not far from a wedding venue in upper Austria, a tucked away forest spot became the obvious choice, a place filled with quiet trails where running clears the mind and sparks countless daydreams. Ideas gathered slowly, like fallen leaves, until the vision of a raw and deeply organic shoot took shape.
Sharing these thoughts with a creative partner turned the dream into a real plan, and together the decision was made to bring it to life during the fall months. The setup, when it all came together, was overflowing with carefully chosen details that felt both intentional and effortless.
The autumn palette stole the show with its dried blossoms weaving in touches of terracotta warmth at every turn. Candlelight flickered everywhere while handmade macramé pieces hung through the trees, transforming the woods into something softly enchanted.
A modern lounge with an elegant table arrangement held court nearby, and a dessert station loaded with every treat imaginable sat next to an entire wall dedicated to doughnuts.
Rain arrived right in the middle of the session, a brief moment of panic that thankfully passed almost as quickly as it started. The only lasting mark it left behind was a lovely, unplanned raindrop texture across the wedding stationery.
A little while later, two impossibly adorable alpacas named Heinzi and Nila waltzed onto the scene. Keeping them from mistaking the bridal bouquet for a snack proved to be the trickiest task of the entire day.
Deep down, the whole experience felt like an absolute love letter to the location itself. The satisfaction of seeing it all come together planted a seed, a determination to make this exact forest spot available for real couples to exchange vows someday.
